New Porject
My project for Digital Portfolio is going to be a digital comic. I chose to do a comic because I'm a fan of comics. Marvel, DC, and Manga are all influences that lead me to a comic as my project. At this point in time I don't have any idea of what the comic is going to be about.

New Intro
I'll start by introducing myself my name is Shateek. I was born in Brooklyn. I'm one of those people who can't seem to do anything right. Even so one of my hobbies include drawing, and while I fail at drawing well I still try. Since I enjoy drawing I based my project on that. For my project I'm planning on making a digital comic.

DP paper
For Digital Portfolio I chose to make a flash animation as my project. I picked a flash project because I enjoy drawing and the idea of having my drawing move around on the computer is really cool. I also picked this project because I tried it once before but it didn’t work out like I had hoped, I never finished my flash. This year I kind of wanted to redeem myself. I guess the question my project asks is “How do I make an animation?”
In doing this project I answered that question by completing my flash. My research wasn’t really research; I just went on line and looked at other people’s flash animation. Mostly to see what kind effects they had or how long there’s was, I also looked to them for inspiration. In competing this project I gained new knowledge of how flash work. Specifically I learned how to put sound into the flash, something I didn’t plan on doing. I also learn that in animating you have to create the illusion of movement.
My strength in this project would have to be my interest in flash animation, and my weakness would be my habit of procrastinating. I was attracted to this question after seeing countless flash animation on the internet. This project is important to me because it’s my first animation I completed, I’ve tried to create some in the past but they weren’t to my liking.
I don’t know how my animation connects to the world but it does connect to me personally because drawing is a hobby of mine. This project synthesizes my idea into a new creative form. I usually express my ideas thought drawing on paper. This project digitizes my ideas and grants thought the ability to move across the screen.
Overall I’d say my committee to the project was pretty good, mostly toward the end. My final project doesn’t meet all my goals but it does solve my problem because now I know I can create and complete an animation. I think this time around my final project was satisfactory, I even add a little more on to the flash toward the end which I wasn’t planning on doing(the sound effects). So I’m satisfied with the out come.
